Monobenzone 20%
Bleaching Cream of the Rich and Famous
Monobenzone has been shown to start irreversibly depigmenting skin in 1-4 months, and full effects are usually seen after 5-12 months.
Can monobenzone cause hyperpigmentation?
Monobenzone occurs as a white, almost tasteless crystalline powder, soluble in alcohol and practically insoluble in water. It exerts a depigmenting effect on skin of mammals by increasing the excretion of melanin from the melanocytes. It may also cause destruction of melanocytes and permanent depigmentation.
One important difference between monobenzone and hydroquinone is that monobenzone results in a more permanent depigmentation
To make sure you can safely use monobenzone, tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs.
